Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Engineer to support our Koropi facilities. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, driving RoHS/REACH activities, and supporting continuous improvement across our operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and ready to contribute to the high manufacturing standards that define THEON’s global presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop project and corporate Health and Safety documentation in line with company policies and international standards.
- Lead all RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance activities for all company products, including:
- Ensuring all materials and components meet RoHS and REACH requirements.
- Maintaining up-to-date records and documentation for compliance audits.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain and verify declarations of conformity.
- Preparing and submitting required reports to regulatory authorities.
- Monitoring updates to RoHS and REACH legislation and implementing necessary changes in company processes.
- Training staff on RoHS and REACH obligations and best practices.
- Prepare, review, and implement the recording of data based on Greek legislation (e.g., FGAS).
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal Health & Safety audits.
- Investigate and prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for Safety & Health incidents.
- Develop, monitor, and analyze Corporate KPIs related to Health & Safety.
- Plan, organize, and conduct internal Health & Safety workshops and meetings.
- Plan, organize, and conduct internal and external Hazards Identification & Risk Assessment activities.
- Coordinate with the corporate Safety Engineer.
Qualifications
- University/Technical Institute diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 standard.
- Excellent user of MS Office.
- Familiarity with Greek Health & Safety legislation.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
- Team oriented & excellent communications skills.
