- THEON BELGIUM, the newest innovation and assembly hub of THEON INTERNATIONAL, is located in Zaventem’s Ikaros industrial zone. Setting up a state-of-the-art assembly and R&D facility for advanced electro-optical systems, specialized in next generation thermal imaging devices.
Role
The production process specialist will:
- Report to the Plant Operations Manager in Belgium and join a team of 8 operators with rapid expansion planned thereafter.
- Play a key role in the setup and daily operations of the new assembly line in Zaventem.
- Master production processes, support installation and technology transfer from Theon HQ in Athens, and become the technical cornerstone of the Belgian operations.
- Actively participate in assembly tasks and become the go-to expert for troubleshooting, process optimization, and operator training.
- Make a real impact, help shape operations, provide input, and be involved from the very start of production — in a hands-on technical role.
- Collaborate with experienced staff from Greece who will assist, train, and support during the setup phase.
Production setup & operations:
- Actively participate in the assembly, testing, and calibration of electro-optical systems and equipment.
- Support the installation and ramp-up of production processes and equipment.
- Work hands-on at critical assembly stations on the assembly of thermal imaging and night vision products, performing precise, low-automation assembly of small components like lenses, microdisplays, and optical elements.
- Ensure high-quality standards through meticulous, time-consuming testing at each stage.
Technical liaison:
- Act as the technical liaison with THEON HQ teams in Athens for troubleshooting and process improvement.
- Serve as the SPOC for communication with HQ, ensuring smooth collaboration and knowledge transfer.
Safety, maintenance & documentation:
- Ensure compliance with safety and well-being regulations, acting as a local safety ambassador.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with internal teams and external providers.
- Document production activities, update work instructions and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Profile
- 3- 5 years’ experience as a Product or Process Specialist or in a similar technical/industrial role, experience in electronics and/or optics is a strong asset.
- Engineer degree or Bachelor-level education(Electronics, Mechanics, electromechanics, physics…) or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on approach.
- Previous hands-on experience in technical assembly is a strong advantage, comfortable working directly on the shop floor.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex assembly processes and specialized equipment.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Language skills; English and French or Dutch.
