THEON BELGIUM is the newest industrial subsidiary of THEON GROUP, currently setting up its state-of-the-art assembly facility in Zaventem. This site will specialize in the production of advanced electro-optical systems and represents a unique opportunity to join a high-growth, high-impact project from its inception.
Role Summary
We are looking for a technically skilled and hands-on Production Process Expert to join our team in Zaventem. This role is essential to the successful setup and daily operations of our new assembly line. You will be responsible for mastering the production processes, supporting the installation and transfer of technologies from our headquarters in Athens, and becoming the technical cornerstone of our Belgian operations.
You will actively participate in assembly tasks, especially on critical stations, and progressively become the go-to expert for troubleshooting, process optimization, and operator training. Your technical expertise will be key in ensuring smooth communication with our engineering teams in Athens and in supporting the growth of our local production team, expected to reach 8 operators by 2026 with rapid expansion planned thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in the assembly and testing of electro-optical systems as well as the calibration of equipment.
- Learn and master the specific production processes and equipment used in our facility.
- Coach, train, and support operators to ensure continuous skills development and best practices.
- Act as the technical liaison with THEON HQ teams in Athens for troubleshooting and process improvement.
- Support the installation and ramp-up of production processes and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and well-being regulations while collaborating with QC and other internal stakeholders to uphold quality standards and meet production schedules, acting as a local safety ambassador).
- Coordinate maintenance activities with internal teams and external providers.
- Document production activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Profile
- Extensive experience (3–5 years) as a Product/Process Specialist or in a similar role within a technical or industrial environment (electronics and optics are considered a strong asset).
- Strong mentoring and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach.
- Previous hands-on experience in technical assembly activities is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex assembly processes and equipment specific to our technology.
- Experience with ERP systems is considered a plus.
- Fluency in English and French or Dutch.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electronics, Mechanics, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with safety, maintenance coordination, and shopfloor management.
