Role Summary

Theon recently expanded its global presence by acquiring a company in South Korea, establishing a new industrial base for the Far East. As part of this strategic growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to lead our business development efforts in South Korea.

Based in Masan, this role requires a hands-on professional who is not afraid to engage in field trials and gain practical experience. As the Business Development Manager, you will be fully responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring successful contract closures.

Training will take place in Greece, equipping you with the tools and insights needed to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the company’s business development and sales efforts in South Korea with full accountability for growth.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential partners and business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Navigate South Korea’s tender and procurement processes in the defense sector with expertise.
  • Lead negotiations and successfully close contracts, ensuring long-term business success.
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
  • Engage in field trials and hands-on testing to support product integration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies and meet business objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in Engineering or Science; an MBA or Commercial/Finance degree is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the defense sector is mandatory.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, and executive-level negotiations.
  • Deep familiarity with South Korea’s defense procurement and tender processes.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.
  • Willingness and availability for frequent international travel.
