- THEON BELGIUM, the newest innovation and assembly hub of THEON INTERNATIONAL, is located in Zaventem’s Ikaros industrial zone. Setting up a state-of-the-art assembly and R&D facility for advanced electro-optical systems, specialized in next generation thermal imaging devices.
Role Summary
To support our growing activities in Belgium, we are hiring an Accounting & Administration Officer who combines solid accounting expertise with hands-on administrative and HR support. You will play a key role in accurate financial administration while helping to build HR and administrative processes from the ground up in a ramp‑up factory environment, ensuring Belgian compliance across finance, payroll liaison and general admin. You will work closely with finance, warehouse operations, local management, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
- Assist with daily bookkeeping and accurate data entry in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- Support inventory accounting and perform warehouse stock reconciliations
- Prepare, maintain, and organize financial records (e.g. invoices) and supporting documentation
- Assist with monthly and annual financial closings
- Prepare, support, and file Intrastat declarations
- Issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Upload supplier and customer invoices to the PEPPOL system
- Collaborate closely with warehouse operations on financial and cost-related matters
Administration & HR Support:
- Support HR administration for the Belgian entity in line with Belgian labor law
- Manage and maintain personnel files, contracts, and HR documentation
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes
- Act as a local point of contact for questions related to Belgian HR regulations (social legislation, absences, benefits, etc.)
- Liaise with external payroll providers, HR advisors, and social secretariats
- Ensure correct administrative follow-up of salaries, benefits, and employment-related documentation
- Support internal audits and compliance requirements related to HR and administration
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and administrative/HR support roles
- Solid working knowledge of Belgian accounting, VAT and HR regulations
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a strong asset
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a strong advantage
