Harder Digital, established in 1999 and headquartered in Woltersdorf, Germany, specializes in the development and production of Image Intensifier Tubes (IIT). Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Group Consolidation and Reporting IFRS Specialist (m/w/d) to manage the transition of our German entities' financial statements from HGB to IFRS. Reporting to the Finance Director, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both IFRS and HGB, along with a strong understanding of group consolidation processes. This role will be key in preparing and consolidating financial statements, ensuring accurate reporting across all subsidiaries, and liaising with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition of financial statements for our German entities from HGB to IFRS and coordinate interim reporting for all subsidiaries
  • Manage the preparation of the consolidated group IFRS financial statements and the reporting packages of the Group, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards
  • Further develop and refine reporting packages in alignment with evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with group finance teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving reporting processes.
  • Monitor and assess changes in IFRS regulations, advising senior management on their impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly desirable. 
  • Relevant professional experience in an accounting or finance department, ideally within a group of companies or an auditing firm
  • Comprehensive understanding of IFRS and its application in manufacturing industries. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts. 
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with consolidation software is a plus.
