Role Summary
The Public Affairs Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the public affairs and government relations strategy for THEON, in Greece (main focus) and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Engagement: Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key decision-makers and relevant stakeholders in Greece (primary focus) and beyond. Collaborate closely with our team in Brussels to serve our wider EU Affairs goals.
- Policy Advocacy: Proactively identify, analyze, and help inform policy developments that impact our business. Focus areas include defense, security, technology, and ESG aiming to enhance our position as a global leader and a critical partner in Europe’s defense and security resilience and autonomy
- Partnerships & Thought Leadership: Identify and leverage strategic partnerships with think tanks and other stakeholders to advance both our business and policy goals. Work closely with the marketing and communications team to strengthen our product narrative and corporate equity.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of proven experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field, preferably with a background in Greece or Brussels.
- Industry Knowledge: While not mandatory, a background in the defense, security, and aerospace industries is highly preferred.
- Relationship Management: A track record of building trust and forging strategic, cross-border partnerships with governments and key stakeholders.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Strategic Acumen: The ability to develop and execute comprehensive government affairs strategies and manage complex policy challenges.
- Languages: Fluent in Greek and English; proficiency in other EU languages is a plus.
