Theon Group is looking for an Image Signal Processing Engineer

The Image Signal Processing Engineer will operate within a multi-disciplined group of Optical, Mechanical, FPGA, SW, and Electrical Engineers. The candidate will closely collaborate with experts from all fields to define and produce image processing algorithms for the company's line of products, and support production and field operations. This position is an excellent opportunity to participate in the definition of new advanced electro-optical systems and have an impact on the company growth.

Responsibilities

The main tasks of the Image Signal Processing Engineer are to:

  • Participate in the definition of the embedded system architecture for advanced electro-optical systems.
  • Analyze the requirements and the system’s image sensors to determine the image processing pipeline and algorithms.
  • Model, prototype and analyze image processing algorithms.
  • Perform optimizations and characterization for the target computing platform.
  • Work together with the FPGA and Software developers to implement the image pipeline on the target platform.
  • Characterize the performance of the working system.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree qualified in a relative field.
  • Strong experience of image processing algorithms and pipelines.
  • Strong experience working with at least one modeling and implementation framework like Matlab, OpenCV etc.
  • Experience C/C++ application development.
  • Familiarity with image characterization setups and standards.
  • Ability to use lab equipment like debuggers, FPGA development boards, camera frame-grabbers.

Additional Skills

  • Experience with computer vision applications.
  • Familiarity with Matlab Simulink, Fixed Point Design and HDL coder.
  • Familiarity with FPGA based image processing systems.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN.
