IT Systems Engineer

Main Tasks:

As an IT Systems Engineer at Space Hellas, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure solutions. You will work on a variety of data center infrastructure projects including multiple aspects of virtualization technology (on-premise and hybrid cloud), compute and storage/backup systems as well as systems management and orchestration solutions.

Role key responsibilities are: 

• Deploy and manage Linux and Windows customers’ infrastructures
• Manage customers’ infrastructure including storage (SAN, NAS, and cloud-based), servers, and virtual platforms
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux services and microservices e.g. docker, apache, nginx, KVM
• Deploy, configure and support VMware virtual infrastructure
• Perform infrastructure migration to Azure
• Support hybrid cloud configurations, integrating cloud services with existing infrastructure
• Manage Active Directory infrastructure across both cloud (Azure) and on-premises platforms
• Manage Microsoft services e.g. Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Defender.
• Support and troubleshoot database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid command of scripting tools to automate deployments and manage infrastructure efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to deliver hybrid IT architectures

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology
• At least three years of proven experience in technical implementation of complex and high availability systems infrastructure related with IT and data center environments in compute (HP and/or Dell and/or Cisco servers), storage technologies (Fiber ChannelFCoE, iSCSI, NVMEoX, NAS, Object storage), virtualization (MS Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, vSAN, Horizon, vRealize, KVM)
• Excellent knowledge of English (written & spoken)
• Relevant certifications

Preferred qualifications:

• Automation (scripting tools, Python)
• Data Center networking physical and virtual (VXLANs, Vmware NSX/T)
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices)
