Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, source qualified candidates, conduct interviews, and oversee the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Implement initiatives to boost employee morale, such as wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing guidance to employees. Handle employment-related inquiries to employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Support performance appraisal processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development plans, to enhance employee performance and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files, time and attendance records, and other HR-related documents.
  • Generate HR metrics and reports to assess department performance and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws and regulations and assist in handling HR-related legal matters when necessary.
  • Stay up to date with labor laws and regulations to ensure the organization's compliance, and assist with reporting requirements, audits, and documentation.
  • Maintain a productive and harmonious work environment. Seize the opportunity to impact both the organization's success and the well-being of its employees by implementing effective HR strategies and practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience of minimum 3 years as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
  • Previous working experience in a payroll role will be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
