Transportation Planner

To plan, organize, and monitor daily transportation activities, ensuring timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and smooth coordination with warehouses, carriers, and internal departments. The role supports the effective execution of customer orders and contributes to the continuous improvement of transportation operations and distribution flows.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage daily transportation and route planning schedules across Greece, including potential cross-dock operations.
• Coordinate pickups and loading activities with Warehouse, Customer Service, and Production teams.
• Communicate with transportation providers and 3PL partners regarding shipment bookings, delivery slots, and delivery priorities.
• Monitor transportation routes in real time and resolve operational issues such as delays, shortages, or damages.
• Review transportation documentation (CMRs, waybills, delivery notes) and ensure all required documents are complete and accurate.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to provide delivery updates and resolve customer delivery inquiries.
• Track and report transportation KPIs, including on-time delivery, transportation cost, capacity utilization, and service levels.
• Analyze transportation flows and support continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with transportation procedures, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate data entry and documentation within ERP/TMS systems.
• Support the Logistics team in special projects such as route redesign, customer allocation adjustments, and seasonal planning activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in transportation, routing, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role.
• Good understanding of distribution processes, transportation operations, and collaboration with carriers/3PL providers.
• Strong MS Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
• Ability to coordinate multiple shipments and routes within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal departments and external partners.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Team-oriented mindset, accountability, and results-driven approach.
• Good command of the English language.
