SCYTALYS is currently for QA Engineering Manager responsible for defining and leading the software quality strategy across Scytalys’ engineering teams, ensuring robust quality practices, automation, and compliance with industry standards. This role will be embedded within product teams to understand architectures and workflows, assess current QA maturity, and implement a federated QA model that scales across multiple squads. The position combines leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on contribution to build a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a QA roadmap aligned with Scytalys’ engineering objectives and product release cycles.
- Define and standardize QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks across teams.
- Establish shared quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for traceability and delivery confidence.
Team Enablement & Coaching
- Identify and mentor QA champions within product squads to form a federated QA team.
- Deliver hands-on training for testers and developers on automation, quality metrics, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of collaboration between QA, development, and product leadership.
Technical Contribution
- Provide direct coding support for test automation and CI/CD integration.
- Pair program with developers and testers to accelerate adoption of quality practices.
- Ensure test coverage for functional, integration, and system-level validation.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years in software QA, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in test automation, CI/CD, and quality governance.
- Strong coding skills in test automation frameworks (e.g., Python, Java).
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and defense industry standards.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to influence without direct authority in a matrix environment.
