Our services span project and construction management, infrastructure planning and design, technical consultancy and digital solutions, working with public authorities, international institutions and private clients across all phases of project delivery.
We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements, and timely fulfillment of financial and tax obligations. This position is suitable for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in double-entry accounting, capable of working independently while managing multiple deadlines in a dynamic corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Category C (double-entry) accounting books.
- Record, review, and archive accounting transactions (purchases, sales, expenses, cash and bank transactions).
- Perform myDATA reconciliations and compliance checks.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including banks, customers, and suppliers.
- Prepare and submit tax filings (VAT, withholding taxes, VIES).
- Support the preparation of financial statements and periodic financial reports.
- Liaise with external partners (accountants, auditors, tax consultants).
- Monitor and apply updates in tax and labor legislation.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal accounting procedures and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (University or Technological Institute).
- Master's degree will be considered as a plus.
- 7–8 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role (experience in a corporate accounting environment or accounting firm will be considered as a plus).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with accounting software / ERP systems (Entersoft or equivalent).
- Excellent command of both Greek & English language (written and spoken).
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
