Senior R&D Electrical Engineer – Athens, Greece

This role involves designing advanced electrical components and systems in accordance with international standards, with a strong emphasis on transient simulation and high-voltage testing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced transient simulations (LV & MV systems) using specialized software
• Support Sales during concept development and technical phases of new product proposals
• Conduct electrical testing of components and systems
• Apply high-voltage testing methodologies and measurement systems
• Develop and maintain detailed product documentation (e.g., electrical diagrams, user manuals)
• Serve as the technical point of contact by providing engineering information and responding to inquiries
• Contribute proactively to the R&D team’s objectives and innovation targets

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering (M.Sc. degree is a strong asset)
• PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in LV and MV electrical systems and installations
• Proficiency in transient simulation tools (e.g., ATP-EMTP, EMTP-RV, PSCAD, PowerFactory)
• Familiarity with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN)
• Previous exposure to the power, energy, defense, or industrial automation sectors;
  experience with surge protective devices and/or surge arresters is an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
