About the role

Artificial intelligence and data are shaping the future – and you can be at the heart of this change! The new Data & AI Transformation Directorate / AI Transformation Tribe of the OTE Group is looking for people with vision, enthusiasm, and commitment to contribute to the Organization’s digital transformation.

We are looking for a candidate with skills that combine prompt engineering and software engineering, capable of leading the production implementation of LLM solutions in an enterprise environment, ensuring quality, reliability, security, and cost control. In this role, as a member of a broader dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to create AI products and applications that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

·        Design and implement end-to-end LLM applications: agents, RAG, orchestrations, tool/function calling, multi-step workflows.

·        Define the solution architecture and ensure production readiness: reliability, scalability, latency and cost optimization.

·        Establish prompt engineering standards: prompt libraries, versioning, evaluation harnesses, golden datasets, regression testing.

·        Contribute to the development of LLM evaluation protocols: automated and human review, rubric design, safety tests, hallucination controls.

·        Develop specifications and/or integrations with telco systems and data sources: knowledge bases, APIs, event streams, workflow engines.

·        Ensure security and governance: policy enforcement, PII handling, access control, auditability, model risk mitigation.

Required Skills

·        2+ years of experience in software development (backend and/or full-stack) with proven production experience.

·        Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js (ideally both).

·        Solid experience with microservices, API design, testing strategy, CI/CD, and observability.

·        Hands-on experience in LLM prompt engineering and production LLM integration (structured outputs, tool calling, prompt injection defenses).

·        Understanding and practical experience with RAG (embeddings, vector stores, retrieval quality, chunking, reranking).

·        Ability to turn ambiguity into clear technical decisions and confidently manage trade-offs (quality vs latency vs cost).

Preferred Skills

·        Experience in MLOps / LLMOps (evaluation pipelines, model/prompt versioning, rollout strategies).

·        Experience with orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, Temporal, Airflow) and event-driven patterns (Kafka).

·        Cloud-native production deployments (Kubernetes, service mesh, secrets management).

·        Domain familiarity with telecom processes (customer care, network operations, field service).

·        Knowledge of regulatory requirements for AI applications (e.g., key provisions of the EU AI Act).
