About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to join our ICT team for EU Institutions and International Organizations. If you are highly self-motivated, methodical, business minded and have a drive to increase business we want to hear from you.

As a Presales Engineer you will focus on growing ICT business, by developing solutions and collaborating actively with vendors and customers.

 

Duties & responsibilities

The ideal candidate will become part of the ICT team for EU Institutions and International Organizations, and will:

  • Communicate with Vendors and Distributors across Europe to receive quotes for hardware and software equipment.
  • Participate actively in vendor management and financial negotiations, as well as in customer communication and risk management, taking into consideration the commercial strategy.
  • Analyse and comprehend the customers’ requirements described in the form of RFOs.
  • Respond to RFOs by preparing technical and financial offers, while ensuring that cost elements, risks and profitability targets are met.
  • Collaborate with internal working groups (sales, delivery, procurement, recruiting, legal) to achieve all the above.

 

Required Skills

You are the right candidate if you have:

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Two (2) years of experience in Presales, or Vendor Management
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to establish relationships of trust and to negotiate with clients and partners
  • Ability to lead and work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time productively
  • Fluency in English (level C1) and the ability to address an international audience

In addition, possessing any of the following skills is considered a strong plus for the candidate:

  • Knowledge of the IT market and major ICT Vendors
  • Experience in drafting technical and financial offers
  • Experience with procurement procedures and processes of EU Institutions, International Organizations, or Public Institutions
