About the role
As a member of Cloud Management & Virtualization Platform Administrators' team, you will be responsible for daily operational support and administration of Hypervisor Platforms, Windows physical and virtual environments and their lifecycle management by performing relevant installations, patches and upgrades.
Duties & responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of IT systems by implementing the appropriate security policies
- Monitor and maintain IT systems performance
- Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management
- Install, configure and operate: x86 physical servers (blade and rack-mount models) / MS Hyper-V, VMware ESXi & other Hypervisors / Microsoft Windows operating systems on physical and virtual servers / Microsoft Active Directory Services
- Analyze, report and solve complex problems
- Use corporate tools and applications to record and report incidents, changes and other IT activities
- Participate in IT projects by analyzing, proposing and implementing solutions aimed at the high and seamless availability of the services offered
- Communicate with other organizational units and managing the requirements of business needs
- Adapt to urgent time schedules
- Coordinate and monitor troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, and configuration of Windows and Hypervisors systems and services
- Prepare for and prescribe approaches to possible downstream implications
- Coordinate actions with peer systems administrators, network administrators, security teams, software teams and hardware engineers
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science
- Three or more years (3+) of experience in infrastructure, support and technical delivery area
- Work experience in Infrastructure Automation Tools and scripting languages
- Public cloud experience (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Familiar with the following concepts: Network, SAN, Storage, DR, Backup/Restore procedures
- Good knowledge of the English language
Other Qualifications
- Knowledge of Containerization technology and MicroServices architecture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with technical audience
- Analytical, technical, and problem solving skills, with high-levels of creativity
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization certification is a plus.
