PMS Coordinator / Junior Superintendent

Role Description

SPRINGFIELD SHIPPING COMPANY PANAMA S.A. the Tanker Management arm of the Onassis Shipping Group is looking for a PMS Coordinator / Junior Superintendent who will oversee the PMS and the coordination of its use. Furthermore, will undergo a training program in order to assume in the future the duties of the position of the Technical Superintendent. It entails some travelling to shipyards and on–board the vessels always alongside the Technical Superintendent.

Main responsibilities include:

• Provide support and assistance to seagoing personnel on the correct operation and maintenance of the PMS standards.
• Coordinate with vessels and S/Ts and makes sure that all PMS entries are correct.
• Ensure compliance with International/National Rules and Regulations, Industry Standards, and Company Procedures within their areas of responsibility.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Class and Flag requirements, International Rules and Regulations, industry requirements, and technological innovations.
• Attend the vessels, if necessary, plan PMS training, and solve any PMS issues.
• Analyze data and produces reports.
• Attending vessels in DD and in port, always alongside the Technical Superintendent for training and support purposes.

Requirements

Eligible candidates should meet the following requirements:

• University graduate with an engineering degree and/or sea service with tanker vessels
• Very good knowledge of English language (verbal and written)
• Very good command of MS Office Applications
• Previous work experience in relevant position will be an advantage
• Knowledge of crude oil tankers will be an advantage
• Good Knowledge of Danaos PMS and supply modules will be an advantage
