Health Programs Specialist

Onassis Foundation is looking for a highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Health Programs Specialist.

The role focuses on the coordination and implementation of projects and initiatives within the Foundation’s Health Programs portfolio, working closely with internal teams, healthcare organizations, public institutions, external partners and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational and coordination skills with a hands-on approach and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and day-to-day project requirements.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project planning & oversee daily project activities, ensuring the successful achievement of project milestones and timely implementation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., public health agencies, hospitals, NGOs) to align the project with organizational goals
  • Act as the main contact between the project team and external partners
  • Manage SAP system operations, ensuring budget compliance and efficient, timely payment processing
  • Assist in implementing events, workshops and other program-related activities
  • Prepare reports, progress updates, and final evaluations with future recommendations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management, or another relevant field
  • 4–5 years of relevant professional experience in project or program coordination, including planning, implementation, stakeholder coordination and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills in both the English & the Greek Language
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and confidence in using them for day-to-day project coordination, documentation and presentations
  • Experience in health-related, nonprofit, or social impact programs will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP will be considered as an asset

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive mindset for tackling challenges
  • Experience in event organization, administrative and contract coordination, budget monitoring or collaboration with external suppliers and partners will be considered an asset
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
