Intrakat S.A. is looking for a Renewable Energy Project Development & Permitting Engineer to join its Energy Unit as part of the Development team. The company has a combined portfolio of Wind, Solar and Energy Storage projects of a total capacity of 2,5GW with 200MW of BESS and windfarm projects currently under development/construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential renewable energy project sites.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including technical, environmental, and economic assessments.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Prepare and review regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Monitor project progress, addressing any permitting or regulatory issues.
• Assist in all project permitting phases, including data analysis and report preparation.
• Design and develop PV systems.
• Conduct energy studies for PV system projects.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and site assessments.
• Utilize GIS software for mapping and spatial analysis.
• Perform geospatial analysis to identify suitable project locations.
• Use CAD applications for drafting project designs and layouts.
• Conduct terrain analysis using GIS and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical or civil engineering, with a focus on renewable energy. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
• up to 3 years’ experience in renewable energy project development or a related field. Experience in permit acquisition and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS software for mapping, spatial analysis, and design.
• Familiarity with PVCase and PVSyst for designing and developing PV systems.
• Familiarity with applications such as WindPro and Windographer for wind data analysis will be considered a plus.
