FDL Group, one of the leading 3PL providers in Greece, is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of its distribution fleet, including refrigerated trucks, trailers, and support vehicles. The role is critical in guaranteeing that fleet operations support FDL’s standards of operational and customer service excellence.
Role Overview
As a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the maintenance and performance of our fleet. You will work closely with experienced professionals to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background who wants to grow into a Fleet Management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of preventive maintenance for trucks, trailers, and vans
- Coordinate repairs and follow up with workshops to minimize vehicle downtime
- Maintain service and inspection records for compliance and internal tracking
- Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and transport regulations
- Participate in fleet inspections and support accident investigations
- Monitor basic maintenance costs and identify improvement opportunities
- Support spare parts tracking and coordination with suppliers
- Track key fleet KPIs (fuel consumption, tires, maintenance)
- Assist in vendor communication and coordination
- Provide basic guidance to drivers on daily vehicle checks
- Use fleet systems and tools to track maintenance activities
- Support reporting on fleet performance and availability
- Help coordinate servicing, inspections (MOT), and insurance renewals
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in fleet operations, maintenance coordination, logistics, or a similar role
- Basic understanding of commercial vehicles, trucks, or transport equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and operational expertise
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
- Fluent in both English and Greek (written & spoken)
- Legally eligible to work in Greece without the need for visa sponsorship
