We are looking for a Reinsurance associate with a P&C background to join our team. The candidate will need to be reliable, professional with great organizational and communication skills and with an excellent grasp of the English language (both written & verbal).    

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Assist in placing reinsurance treaties across all lines of business, according to the company’s risk mitigation policy
• Conduct and manage reinsurance statistics reporting for both treaty and facultative cessions (incl. SII requirements) & all relevant administrative requirements (technical accounts & claims recoveries)
• Structure and streamline operational reinsurance processes
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of reinsurance data within the company’s reinsurance application /system
• Ensure application of the reinsurance treaty terms and conditions to underlying products (original Insurance policies)

Candidate profile

• Self-motivated individual with ability to undertake initiatives, prioritize appropriately and embrace challenges
• Ability to work independently but also as part of team
• Excellent time management and ability to deliver on strict project deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional command of the English language
• Reinsurance treaty, policy and contract interpretation experience
• Ability to build relationships with Reinsurers
• Understanding of reinsurance market and traditional structures
• Analytical mindset and ability to structure and simplify operational reinsurance tasks & processes
• Relevant working experience (minimum 3-5yrs)
• Master’s degree and /or participation in Reinsurance seminars will be considered a plus
