Senior Pricing Actuary, P&C

We are looking for an experienced Senior Pricing Actuary with solid P&C pricing background and sharp business acumen to join our P&C Technical Division. We want a reliable and confident professional with problem solving ability, responsible for designing and executing the pricing strategy for the P&C lines of business.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Establish robust and efficient pricing framework with particular emphasis in retail products
  • Plan, organize and conduct periodic rate reviews, including rate adequacy reviews, segmentation analysis, pricing optimization, rate change impact projections, product profitability tests
  • Conduct profitability analysis for new products and participate in the product development process
  • Closely cooperate with reserving actuaries, data scientist, underwriting and IT in order to improve data availability, structure, accuracy and overall data governance
  • Imbue analytical thinking and measurement culture in the organization
  • Actively support corporate cross functional initiatives

Candidate profile

  • Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of pricing experience in P&C lines, including risk analysis, rate segmentation and price elasticity modelling; experience in rate optimization is considered a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of WTW pricing software suite
  • Strong data management skills (SQL, Python, SAS or relevant)
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to take initiatives
  • In depth understanding of local insurance market and underlying trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent command of the English language
