Operational Risk Officer

We are looking for an Operational Risk Officer with solid operational risk management background and sharp business acumen to join our team. We want a reliable, highly perceptive and methodical professional with problem solving ability to support us implementing a wide range of methodologies concerning operational risk management.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitates various operational risk assessments (Risk & Control Self-Assessments, Fraud Risk Assessments, Outsourcing Risk Assessments etc.).
  • Management of operational risk events (identification, root-cause analysis, recording and reporting).
  • Management of operational Key Risk Indicators (establishment, monitoring and reporting).
  • Management of operational risk mitigating actions (set-up, recording and follow-up).
  • Ongoing update and enhancement of operational risk framework.
  • Active participation in operational risk awareness initiatives.
  • Business Continuity Plan (Performance of Business Impact Analysis & BCP test coordination).

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Actuarial sciences or alike. A relevant Master’s degree is essential.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in an insurance company, financial institution or consultancy firm. Relevant work experience in operational risk management/audit/control positions will be strongly considered. Candidates with strong quantitative working experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Operational Risk Manager (ORM), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be considered an asset.
  • Organizational/ analytical skills and results orientation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • People & process oriented.
  • High level of discretion of confidential work and information.
  • Focus on delivering work of high quality. Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages.
  • Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, especially advanced knowledge of Excel is essential).
