Risk Analyst

We are looking for a Risk Analyst professional, reporting to the Senior Market and Credit Risk Analyst of Risk Management Division.  Main duties will be the calculation and submission of the regulatory capital of Eurolife FFH Insurance Companies as well as market risk analysis. As a Risk Analyst, you will have experience in market risk management, thorough knowledge of the insurance sector, and quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities about the Risk Analysis will be:
  • The weekly monitoring of the investment portfolios.
  • The estimation/calculation of the Best Estimate of liabilities (BEL) of Eurolife FFH Life Insurance company daily.
  • Back testing in Value at Risk (VaR) on a weekly basis.
  • The calculation of the mismatch between Assets and Liabilities monthly.
  • The calculation and monitoring of Market Risk KPIs (VaR, duration, portfolio risk, sensitivity tests etc.) on a daily / weekly / monthly basis.
  • The monitoring of risk indicators monthly.
  • The conduct of sample check to confirm the correctness of the prices used for the IFRS valuation of the portfolio by the middle office.
  • The creation of reports on Market Risk Analysis of the Romanian Subsidiaries of Eurolife FFH Insurance Group.

Your responsibilities about the Regulatory Capital will be:

  • The aggregation and entry of data of multiple resources in the software application is used.
  • The coordination of the process for calculating the Regulatory Capital submitted to the Bank of Greece for solo companies as well as Eurolife FFH Insurance Group on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • The development and updating of the internal processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, economics, accounting, and mathematics or equivalent
  • Typically, 3 - 5 years of industry experience in a similar role across Insurance or Financial Services
  • Strong analytical skills accompanied with an accurate and numerate approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other analysis programs, familiarity with SAS Solvency II platform will be appreciated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill, excellent knowledge of English language
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and programs at the same time to complete work
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data
  • Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
