Insurance Operations Manager

For a company in our group, we are currently looking for an Insurance Operations Manager with specialization on Property & Casualty Insurance for defining and managing business processes, extracting rules, and soliciting business requirements for the entire insurance value chain (i.e.  policy servicing, insurance claims, bills, and collections). 

Working closely with the Business and Technology subject matter experts you should be able to:  

  • Collaborate with our B2B customers, developers, and project managers to analyze, design, implement, and support business requirements elicitation based on your experience  
  • Prepare a business requirement document (BRD) clearly depicting all functional & non-functional requirements along with business processes for the entire value chain
  • Assist in designing technical solutions and software functionality to meet the per-project insurance business needs. 
  • Validate that requirements are reviewed for quality assurance as they are implemented in each software release, including requirements approval, traceability, and proper updates of attributes in the requirements management tool 
  • Develop, create, review, maintain, and update application-related documentation and support preparation of training material in a relevant, accurate and user-friendly manner 
  • Work proactively and independently to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices 
  • Function as part of an integrated team sharing products, best practices, and information across the portfolio 

Requirements  

Join us if you have: 

  • 3+ years' work experience in the Insurance /Fintech/Insurtech Industry, mastering insurance operations practices is a prerequisite. 
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline. 
  • Experience in requirements planning, analysis, refinement, and documentation. 
  • Understanding technology and innovation and be passionate about disrupting traditional sectors.    
  • Excellent documentation skills with fluent English for technical write-up.  
  • Comfortable leading some meetings and communicating issues and trends to key stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail. 
  • Team player spirit. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • High attention to detail.
