Role Overview

Ethniki Asfalistiki is looking for an experienced Property & Casualty Actuary to strengthen our actuarial function and support key activities across regulatory reporting, pricing and reserving. The role offers exposure to a wide range of P&C business lines and close collaboration with underwriting, finance, and risk management teams.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform and review technical provisions calculations for P&C portfolios under Solvency II
  • Support reserve adequacy analyses, including prior-year development, current year analysis and assumption review
  • Contribute to pricing analyses, profitability studies, and product reviews
  • Participate in SCR calculations (Standard Formula and/or Internal Model, where applicable)
  • Prepare actuarial inputs for regulatory reporting, ORSA, and management reporting
  • Support actuarial documentation, validation activities, and interaction with internal/external stakeholders (Risk, Audit, Supervisors)
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation, and actuarial best practices

 

Candidate Job Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Actuarial Qualification process is an asset
  • 2 – 6 years of experience in P&C actuarial roles (reserving, pricing, or capital)
  • Strong knowledge of Solvency II requirements for Non-Life insurance
  • Solid understanding of P&C products (e.g. Motor, Property, Liability)
  • Advanced skills in Excel; experience with R, Python, or actuarial software
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in Greek and English language
  • No pending military obligations (for Greek male citizens)
