ELPEN Pharmaceutical Co. Inc, one of Greece’s largest and most established pharmaceutical companies, is expanding its team! With a strong international presence and a commitment to research, development, and innovation, we are looking for a passionate and driven professional to join us, as an IT System Administrator.

About the role

IT System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the company's on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and high availability.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain the virtualized infrastructure (VMware).
• Manage and configure Windows Servers and Active Directory.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage and support Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS).
• Ensure high availability (HA) and continuity for all critical systems.
• Monitor systems using appropriate tools and analyze performance data.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and IT procedures.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrade and optimization projects.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related field
• Master's degree will be considered as a plus
• At least 3 years of experience 
• Excellent command of the English language (C2 level)
• Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skill.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies
• Knowledge of network security issues and security systems; desirable certifications CEH, CISSP
• Microsoft Azure (VMs, resource management, networking, monitoring)
• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Intune – desirable)
• Experience in security, policies, procedures, and documentation in pharmaceutical environments (ITIL, ISO 20000, COBIT, GAMP5, GxP, CSV)
• Knowledge of Windows Server/Desktop OS
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
