Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve our health and safety systems and culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all occupational health and safety policies to ensure full compliance with national and international regulations, while fostering a proactive safety culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and EU health & safety legislation and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
- Lead incident investigations and report findings to management with corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees across functions and company’s premises on health and safety topics.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders regarding audits, inspections, and certifications
- Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar managerial role , preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated strong reporting and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate KPIs and strategic recommendations to the Division’s Director.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in MS Office.
