Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Head of Accounting to oversee the Group’s accounting functions across multiple jurisdictions. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with relevant accounting standards, and the continuous improvement of financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to managing financial risks and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounting function across EFA Group’s global entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and/or local GAAP.
- Coordinate and manage audits across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely resolution of audit issues.
- Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and automation of manual processes.
- Stay up to date with evolving accounting standards, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Mentor and lead a team of accountants and finance professionals; foster a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
- ACCA certification will be considered a plus.
- Qualified accountant with A Class signatory rights
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS; experience with consolidation and multi-currency reporting.
- Demonstrated experience with audits, tax compliance, and statutory reporting across different jurisdictions.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS office, especially Excel and experience with ERP Systems of Microsoft will be considered a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
