Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled IFRS Expert with a strong background in audit and assurance. The ideal candidate will have extensive managerial experience at Big Five accounting firm. This role requires deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the ability to apply these standards to complex financial scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- IFRS Compliance: Participate in the preparation of interim/annual financial statements and ensure their compliance with IFRS.
- Internal Consultation: Provide specialized IFRS-related guidance to internal teams.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Policy Development: Develop and apply accounting policies in accordance with IFRS.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor staff on IFRS updates and best practices.
- Audit Support: Support external and internal audits by providing IFRS and financial reporting expertise.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3+ years of managerial experience within audit/assurance at a Big Five firm.
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS and its application in manufacturing industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and develop junior staff.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills.
