Financial Controller
Scope of role: The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial operations across a group of five (5) hotel properties. The role oversees hotel financial reporting, internal controls, while supporting statutory compliance and senior management with timely and reliable financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
· Be a part of the Senior Finance Management team, leading all hotel finance functions
· Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting with a focus on management reports, on a month end & year end basis
· Reviews balance sheets, reconciliations, and account analyses on a regular basis
· Support finance management team with reference to activities related to external auditors, tax authorities, and third-party reviewers
· Ensures compliance with USALI and local statutory and tax regulations
· Monitors capital expenditures and ensures alignment with approved budgets and CAPEX plans
· Works closely with hotel operations and senior management to provide financial insight and decision support
· Supports the Group Director of Finance & Business Support
· Leads and develops the finance team, promoting strong internal controls and best practices
Qualifications:
· University degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field
· Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be considered an asset
· 7+ years of experience in hospitality finance, ideally in a large hotel or multi-property group
· Strong knowledge of USALI and hotel financial reporting
· Fluency in English (written and spoken)
· Strong leadership and people management skills
· Ability to build strong relationships with hotel management, owners, and international brands
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
