AVAX Group is seeking a Contracts Engineer to support the management, review, and administration of contracts across major projects, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and effective stakeholder coordination.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparation, review and administration of a wide range of commercial and contractual agreements, with a primary focus on subcontract, supply and service agreements.
- Review and assessment of tender and contract documentation, with focus on contractual requirements, risks and obligations.
- Preparation and management of variations, claims and contractual correspondence, from the initial assessment and supporting measurements/documentation through to formal submission and follow-up.
- Monitoring and maintaining proper contractual records, correspondence and filing systems.
- Monitoring the proper implementation of the contractual terms agreed with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and consultants.
- Participation in contractual and commercial meetings with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and consultants, including preparation and follow-up of relevant actions.
- Day-to-day interaction with project teams and collaboration with other departments and divisions of the Company, as required for the effective administration of projects and contracts.
- Supporting the post-contract administration of contracts.
- Managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel and undertake on-site assignments, depending on project requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contracts, commercial/project management, construction, or a related field.
- Good understanding of EPC and FIDIC-based contracts; experience in EPC, energy, infrastructure, or construction projects will be considered an asset.
- Excellent command of English and strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and willingness to develop within the contracts and commercial management field.
