We are currently looking for a Senior Mobile Developer (.NET MAUI) to join our team and contribute to the next chapter of MECCANICA.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mobile Developer with a strong background in .NET MAUI to join our innovative mobile development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will play a crucial role in the entire mobile application development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment, contributing to our core mobile products and user experiences.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and user-friendly cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver exceptional mobile experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following mobile development best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and mentor junior mobile developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve mobile application defects and performance issues across different platforms.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions related to mobile application scalability, security, and performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and practices.
• Work with native platform features and APIs when necessary to achieve specific functionalities or optimizations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for mobile applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Strong proficiency in cross-platform mobile development with .NET MAUI:

1. Extensive experience with .NET MAUI for building iOS and Android applications.
2. Solid understanding of XAML for UI definition and C# for logic.
3. Experience with the MVVM pattern, ideally with CommunityToolkit.Mvvm.
4. Experience with mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design for various screen sizes.
5. Knowledge of mobile application lifecycle, performance optimization, and debugging tools.

• Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services (including resilient HTTP handling — retries, timeouts).
• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with push notification services (Firebase Cloud Messaging, Azure Notification Hubs, or APNs).
• Familiarity with OAuth2/OpenID Connect token-based authentication in mobile clients.
• Experience with biometric authentication APIs on iOS/Android.
