Facilities Manager

The position bears the overall responsibility for the entire network of corporate & company facilities and ensures their operational readiness and technical safety, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve operational readiness of corporate & company facilities
  • Supervise of real estate construction and renovation projects
  • Manage and oversee facilities staff and outside contractors that undertake maintenance work
  • Ensure the implementation of safety rules and regulations by the working groups, including external associates, according to the Greek legislation and international standards
  • File, update and check all the technical documentation associated with the facilities
  • Negotiate and handle contracts and agreements for products and services
  • Control maintenance costs
  • Recommend improvements and identify ways to use existing facilities more efficiently
  • Report to Senior Management on progress of on-going projects, budget control and running cost of works, real estate management

Candidates should have the following personal attributes:

  • The ability to lead and effectively manage teams and projects
  • Analytical and quick problem-solving skills
  • Strong decision making capability
  • Organization, time management, prioritizing and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
  • Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture

And the following educational requirements and work experience:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience in understanding and handling technical contracts and agreements
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate fluently both in Greek and English
