Theon Group is looking for a Demand Planner

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to create accurate demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, procurement, sales and marketing teams to align demand plans with business objectives.
  • Manage inventory levels, balancing customer needs with production and supply chain capabilities.
  • Monitor and improve forecast accuracy, addressing gaps and refining planning processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Generate and present reports on demand trends and key performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management (preferably in the defense or manufacturing/high-tech sectors).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with demand planning tools/software (e.g., Microsoft D365, SAP, Excel).
  • Experience in built to order flow of materials/demand would be appreciated.
  • Experience in management of custom Bill of Materials per order would be appreciated.
  • Preferred experience, in working environments with volatile demand forecast and patterns.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
