Role Summary

The PCB Engineering team operates within a multi-disciplined group of Optical, Mechanical, FPGA, and Software Engineers. The candidate will closely collaborate with experts from all fields to define and produce electronic circuitry for the company's line of products. This position is an excellent opportunity to participate in the definition of new electronics systems and has an impact on the group and company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with System Engineers, FPGA engineers and other software developers to define system architecture and electronic circuit requirements.
  • Design and implement mixed signal and digital PCBs.
  • Transfer block diagrams and general requirements to PCB schematics documents and multi-layer PCB layouts.
  • Release fabrication, assembly and BOM documents and track PCB manufacturing.
  • Design and document the test process for PCBs.
  • Perform PCB test and characterization using benchtop electronics equipment.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in electronics/ engineering related subject.
  • Experience with PCB design, development, and testing/verification.
  • Experience with circuit and PCB simulation using mixed signal and Signal Integrity simulation tools.
  • Hand-soldering and PCB rework experience.
  • Use of benchtop tools for PCB debug (oscilloscopes, power supplies etc.).
  • Familiarity with mixed signal (sensor power supplies, ADC/DAC pipelines).
  • Familiarity with digital circuits (high pin-count components, complex/high speed interfaces like DDR, SerDes, control impedance etc.).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Altium PCB design environment.
  • Experience with Ansys SIwave
  • Familiarity with FPGA based systems-on-board.
