Role Summary
As a Senior Cost Controlling Officer who reports to the CFO, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control within our manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient procurement and supply chain processes while maintaining financial integrity and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with various departments to analyze costs, develop budgets, and implement cost-saving measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost control strategies to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing and inventory management.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and financial analyses to support decision-making.
- Conduct regular audits of cost control procedures and systems to ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Review and approve purchase orders and contracts, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Monitor and manage the financial aspects of projects, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on cost control practices and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- 5+ proven working experience in cost control, procurement, and supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
