Role Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating domestic and international logistics operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective transportation of goods. The role requires close collaboration with freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders, with a strong focus on export controls, defense industry standards, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate domestic and international shipments (imports & exports) in compliance with defense and dual-use regulations
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation
Prepare and manage shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, AWBs, Bills of Lading, export licenses, etc.)
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export controls, and defense industry standards
Monitor shipment progress and resolve logistics issues or delays
Maintain accurate logistics records and ERP system updates
Support continuous improvement of logistics processes and KPIs
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in logistics or supply chain coordination
Previous experience in a freight forwarding company is strongly preferred
Solid understanding of international transportation (air, sea, road)
Familiarity with defense sector logistics standards, export controls, or regulated industries
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Excellent command of MS Office; ERP system experience is an asset
