🎯 The Mission
At Shopflix, we are not just moving boxes; we are building the smartest marketplace in Greece.
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer (Mid Level) to help us build and improve core marketplace services while growing your expertise in distributed systems at scale.
🧩 What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain backend services in Python or Go
- Build and extend APIs supporting marketplace domains (products, pricing, orders, merchants)
- Contribute to event-driven and asynchronous processing systems
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Frontend teams to ship features
- Improve reliability and performance under guidance from senior engineers
✅ Requirements
- 2–4 years of backend engineering experience
- Experience in Python or Go (open to learning the other)
- Experience building and maintaining APIs
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar)
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, concurrency, and system design basics
- Willingness to learn and grow in distributed systems

- Exposure to microservices or event-driven systems
- Experience with Docker
- Basic familiarity with observability concepts
- Interest in high-scale or marketplace platforms
