About the Role:
Philosofish is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Demand Planning Manager to lead the demand-forecasting process and ensure effective alignment between sales demand, harvesting, production and product availability.
The role will coordinate the weekly demand-planning cycle, translating sales requirements and market information into actionable operational plans, while also maintaining the medium- and long-term forecasts required for effective business planning.
The position works closely with Sales, Farming, Harvesting, Processing, Logistics and Finance.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the weekly demand-planning and sales-forecasting process across products, customers and markets.
- Maintain rolling medium- and long-term demand forecasts to support harvesting, production, capacity and business planning.
- Apply statistical forecasting models and continuously improve forecast accuracy and bias.
- Identify potential shortages, excess availability and supply-demand imbalances, proposing timely corrective actions.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor demand, product availability, inventory and key planning KPIs.
- Provide data-driven scenarios and recommendations to support commercial and operational decisions and the broader S&OP process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP or Sales Forecasting.
- Experience in a multinational food, FMCG, fresh or perishable-products environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting methodologies, trend and seasonality analysis.
- Advanced Excel and strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SoftOne (Soft1), and the ability to analyse ERP data through Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking, commercial understanding and cross-functional communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
