About the role
As a B2B/ICT Network Security Engineer you will be part of a very competent and enthusiastic team that provides design, implementation and support services for advanced and complex telecom / network & system production environments and critical infrastructures of large enterprise customers in Greece and the EU.
The successful applicant will be focusing on the delivery and support of Network Security solutions and products and will apply his relevant solid expertise in securing and fortifying customer networks, using cutting-edge technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Implementation (incl. configuration and migration tasks) and Support (incl. maintenance and troubleshooting activities) of ICT Projects for B2B customers
- Delivering project documentation (HLD/LLD/Migration Plans/As-Built)
- Contributing to requirements analysis and solution design (best practices, solutions validation)
- Contributing to security requirements analysis, identifying security gaps and proactively proposing mitigation measures
- Consulting and participating in technical workshops
- Evaluating customer needs and suggesting upgrades and / or additional features
- Identifying and participating in the resolution of interoperability issues
- Coordinating and providing guidance to technical teams
- Providing effort estimation for technical offers and RFPs
- Preparing and executing customer demos and PoCs
- Delivering on-demand customer trainings (related to project deliverables)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science or any similar / related subject. Security-focused studies and / or security-related trainings will be considered a plus.
- Excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP concepts (IPv4 / IPv6, DNS, DHCP, QOS etc.), switching principles (VLANs, VPC, LACP, STP etc.), L2 / L3 network technologies (e.g. MPLS, VoIP, STP, VPC etc.) and routing, signaling and management protocols (OSPF, BGP, SIP, SNMP etc.).
- Demonstrated in-depth experience and hands-on expertise in delivering and supporting enterprise-level network security solutions of at least two of the security market leading vendors (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto), such as: Firewalling, NGFW (UTM, IDS/IPS, AV, Web filtering), VPNs, Network Access Control, Identity Services, Email security, Content security, DNS security, PKI / Certificates.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing requirements, designing and implementing advanced technical solutions and handling complex technical problems in production environments.
- At least 4 years of proven relevant working experience (in similar positions and / or with similar responsibilities).
- Active Professional or Expert level security certification (e.g. Cisco – CCNP-SEC/CCIE-SEC, Fortinet – FCP_NS/FCSS_NS, Checkpoint – CCSE/CCTE/CCME, Palo Alto – PCNSE).
- Excellent command of the English language (oral and written, C2-level).
- MS Office applications experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications that will be considered a plus
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science or any similar / related subject
- Working expertise in other technical areas such as SD-WAN solutions (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet), Virtualization Architecture technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) etc.
- Programming / scripting skills (e.g. Python, Perl, Yang, VB, PHP, SQL etc.) and background in automations development and support
- Ability to travel abroad
