About the role

OTE Group IT Innovation Center is actively looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Software Engineer with knowledge and experience in software engineering and data science era.

Duties & responsibilities

• Be an active member of the Innovation technical team participating in AI & Data Science projects during all project phases

• Analysis/design architectural solutions, research and propose innovative tools and technologies as state-of-the-art approaches

• Develop software modules & applications by producing clean, efficient code using best practices

• Perform validation and quality testing

Required Skills

• BSc in Computer Science/Information Systems/other IT degree

• MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or Mathematics/Statistics (preferable)

• Technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design principles (S.O.L.I.D) and design patterns

• Skilled in Python, Object-Oriented design & programming (e.g., Java) and ETL tasks

• Solid foundational knowledge of SQL and relational database design

• Familiar with Python Libraries for Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, or Seaborn

• Familiar with HTML, CSS (Twitter Bootstrap), JavaScript

• Fundamental knowledge of NoSQL databases and engineering (e.g., ElasticSearch, MongoDB)

• Familiar with Linux administration

• Ability to work in Adaptive Methodology, e.g., Scrum or Kanban.

• Fluent communication skills (verbal/writing) in English

• Passionate in searching for innovative technological solutions

Preferred skills

• Docker and Kubernetes

• Cloud platforms/services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud

• Spark, Hadoop
