Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Monitor market trends of terminal devices such as mobile phones, tablets, PCs, Android STBs, and Smart TVs, as well as their technology roadmaps and operating system evolution, in order to assess the impact on the COSMOTE TV Streaming service.

  • Support the firmware update process of COSMOTE TV STBs, ensuring the smooth introduction of new features and flawless operation.

  • Cooperate with Deutsche Telekom Group NatCos and participate in working groups focused on the joint development of new products and services and the adoption of best practices.

  • Participate in the definition of the COSMOTE TV service roadmap and compile detailed marketing specifications for new services.

  • Manage the development process of projects and/or services in coordination with COSMOTE Technology and IT departments, as well as external vendors.

  • Plan and execute verification tests on various types of terminal devices prior to new version releases of the COSMOTE TV OTT application.

  • Prepare supporting material for Service Assurance and Customer Support teams and assist in troubleshooting issues that require in-depth investigation.

  • Track the deployment of competitive Pay TV services in the Greek and European markets.

  • Participate in the annual budgeting process for services and products under their responsibility.

 

Candidate Profile

You are the ideal candidate if:

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager role, preferably in the Pay TV or Telecommunications sector. (Required)

  • You hold a University or College degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or Information Technology. (Required)

  • You possess a postgraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, IT, or Project Management. (Desirable)

  • You are familiar with Agile methodologies in product and service development. (Desirable)

  • You have fulfilled your military obligations (for male candidates only). (Required)

 

Additionally, you should:

  • Have a deep understanding of the development, customization, upgrade, and certification processes for terminal devices using Android/Android TV OS, including functional and regression testing—ideally on TV-related devices (e.g., STBs, Smart TVs, remote controls)—and/or experience in defining application specifications and executing verification tests for streaming applications.

  • Have extensive experience in project management/coordination and in compiling technical and marketing specifications (in English).

  • Be familiar with broadcasting, streaming, encoding, compression, and encryption technologies used in audio/video transmission (considered a plus).

  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking combined with solid business acumen.

  • Be an independent, self-motivated professional able to operate with minimal supervision.

  • Be result-driven and capable of working efficiently under demanding deadlines.

  • Show passion for developing innovative ideas aimed at meeting customer needs.

  • Communicate fluently, both verbally and in writing, in Greek and English.

  • Possess strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.

 

And have:

  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level). (Required)

  • Proficient use of MS Office applications. (Required)

  • Experience with collaboration and ticketing tools. (Desirable)

  • Agile Scrum Master certification. (Desirable)

  • Agile Product Owner certification. (Desirable)
