About the role

The Senior Business Analyst / IT serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that IT solutions meet business objectives within the Telco environment. This role focuses on Order Management and Integration systems, driving compliance with architecture standards and delivering high-quality solutions.

Main responsibilities

• Review and analyze the Business specifications delivered by the business
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Identify gaps, ambiguities, or risks in the deliverables that require clarification before implementation.
• Monitor project execution, participate in project meetings, and regularly report to the Technical Project Manager on project status and any potential timeline deviations.
• Facilitate collaboration between IT, commercial teams and external partners.
• Manage risks and ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Validate solutions against architectural guidelines and security standards.
• Participate and/or lead the Integration Tests  & User Acceptance Test (UAT), support activities and act as a point of contact for the Business Users
• Prepare technical specifications for vendor engagement especially in cases of technical / transformation projects.
• Evaluate technical and financial proposals; support vendor selection.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst
• Strong understanding of technical concepts (software, architecture, APIs, databases, etc.) to be able to discuss and break down technical tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborative and adaptable in fast-paced environments and cross-functional environment (with Project Managers, Team Leaders, Developers).

• Excellent  organizational and time-management skills.
• Outstanding communication skills

Preferred skills

• Experience in Telco IT projects and system integration.
• Familiarity with the concept of microservices, RESTful web-services and asynchronous systems communication approaches (Apache Kafka, JMS Queues) will be considered as an asset.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and Business Rules Management is an asset.
• Knowledge of RDBMS concepts (data modelling, Entity Relationship Diagrams) and experience in SQL for creating queries.
