About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on and motivated Data Center Engineer to join our infrastructure team. You’ll be part of a large-scale organization, ensuring that our Data Denter operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a mid-level role, great for someone with a blend of technical curiosity and practical field skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle racking, cabling, labeling, and patching according to internal standards and best practices
· Perform installation, relocation, and decommissioning of IT equipment (servers, storage, network devices)
· Participate in infrastructure projects, including expansions, migrations, and system upgrades
· Coordinate with IT, Network, and Electrical teams to ensure smooth execution of on-site activities
· Support preventive maintenance, equipment replacement, and upgrades
· Assist in troubleshooting incidents related to physical infrastructure
· Maintain accurate documentation of layouts, cabling maps, and asset inventory
· Monitor environmental and electrical parameters (power load, temperature, airflow)
· Follow established security, safety, and change management procedures
Required Skills
· Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
· 1–3 years of experience in Data Center or IT infrastructure environments
· Good understanding of networking, hardware components, and structured cabling
· Exposure to structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, fiber management, patching best practices)
· Basic understanding of server architecture, virtualization, and network topologies
· Basic knowledge of power distribution and environmental systems (UPS, PDUs, cooling)
· Awareness of data center safety and operational procedures
· Good command of the English language, especially for technical documentation
· Strong attention to detail and a hands-on mindset
· Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across teams
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Monitoring tools (e.g. EcoStruxure IT, DCIM platforms, or similar).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, BICSI, or DCIM-related training.
• Experience with enterprise hardware
• Exposure to monitoring and ticketing systems
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
