Milkplan S.A headquartered in Thessaloniki, is a market leader in Greece and among top industrial manufacturers of dairy & farming solutions globally. Milkplan S.A, is manufacturing innovative robust quality products in their 30,000 m2 privately owned, factories in Thessaloniki, Greece.
We are searching for a Product Design – Mechanical Engineer to be part of the Engineering team, responsible for the design, analysis, prototyping, and engineering documentation of Milkplan’s innovative product offerings.
More specifically, the responsibilities are:
- Product design and development: preparing both rough sketches and detailed 3D master drawings and assemblies of new or modifications of existing products using design packages (i.e SolidWorks, Inventor), as well as writing their specifications / product recipes.
- Drafting / creating 2D manufacturing drawings, BOM and CAM files for company’s products. Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.
- Preparing instruction manuals, data sheets and technical proposals.
- Analyzing customers' technical drawings / documentation, estimating material requirements and costs.
- Calculate cost estimates for final product designs, and release reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labor, material, delivery and overhead
- Communicating with the production teams to ensure compliance with the drawings, resolving design issues and incorporating knowledge gained into future drawings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor and Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of English
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Very good communication skills
- Mind-set for problem solving
