Job Description:
- Provide timely and accurate legal counsel to the management team and stakeholders.
- Review and draft legal documents and contracts to ensure they comply with corporate compliance laws.
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, paralegals, and support staff in legal matters.
- Develop and periodically update company policies on legal affairs.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research for partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
- Guide the company in navigating national and international corporate law landscapes.
- Evaluate ongoing and potential projects to ensure compliance with corporate law regulations.
- Collaborate closely with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
Skills and experience:
- Educational background in Law/ Maritime Law
- Proven experience as a Lawyer, preferably in related industry.
- Expertise in commercial law, corporate governance, and business law.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international corporate legal regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and guiding stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Fluency in English, additional languages are advantageous.
