Cyber Security Engineer 

The Position:
As part of the Security by Design & Architecture team of the Group’s Information Security Division, you will actively contribute to strengthening the Group’s security posture by embedding Security by Design principles across technology and business initiatives. Your role supports the secure evolution of systems, applications, and infrastructure through structured engagement in projects and continuous improvement of security controls. Your responsibilities include:

• Playing a key role in project design phases to ensure that Security by Design requirements are identified, documented, and integrated into technical and functional specifications
• Contributing to secure development practices by assisting in application security assessments, reviewing changes to platforms, and promoting adherence to secure engineering guidelines
• Supporting secure architecture reviews and assisting in translating security standards into actionable implementation requirements for IT and business teams
• Assisting with the design and refinement of network segmentation and secure remote access configurations, including providing security requirements and guidance for firewall policy enforcement
• Supporting the deployment and configuration of network and endpoint security controls, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, WAF configurations, endpoint hardening, and adherence to patching standards
• Contributing to information protection controls by assisting with DLP policy design and tuning for endpoints, email, and cloud services, and coordinating handover to the Prevent & Defense team for monitoring and incident handling workflows
• Supporting activities related to cryptographic controls, secure handling of removable media, and compliance with confidentiality policies
• Assisting with asset lifecycle security processes, including secure configuration baselines, endpoint protection, and secure decommissioning practices
• Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, including assisting with policy configuration and privileged account onboarding to enforce least privilege, enable session monitoring/auditing, and support just in time access across systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field; preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Information Security/ Cybersecurity
• 2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or technical roles with exposure to secure system design, infrastructure security, or security engineering activities
• Good understanding of Security by Design, secure architectures, and secure development practices
• Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, PAM, endpoint protection platforms, or cloud security controls
• Relevant entry‑ to intermediate‑level certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC‑900 or SC‑200, CompTIA CySA+, Cisco CCNA Security
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills
• Good command of the English language
• Solid understanding of modern IT systems and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Qualifications considered an asset:

• Additional certifications such as AZ‑500, CEH, or equivalent intermediate‑level security certifications.
