Senior Cyber Security Operations Engineer

The Position:

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will be responsible and accountable for:

• Developing and maintaining robust cyber defense mechanisms, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), anti-malware tools, and penetration testing & vulnerability assessments.
• Monitoring security events, managing security logs, and ensuring the protection of critical data and systems.
• Responding to information security incidents (incl. IDS/ IPS, WAF, DDoS, DLP) conducting investigations, and implementing lessons learned to prevent future incidents.
• Ensuring compliance with security hygiene standards, managing technical vulnerabilities, overseeing patching and backup processes and updating/ configuring firewalls to protect against threats.
• Implementing and managing access control policies to cover the full spectrum of access management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or related field
• At least 4 years of experience in security operations or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of cyber defense mechanisms, incident response, and access control management.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as EDR, anti-malware, and penetration testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Sound judgment and balanced risk management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of the English language.
• Excellent teamwork and project management skills.
• Understanding of modern information technology systems and cybersecurity.

Qualifications considered as an asset:

• MSc or PhD in Information Security/ Cyber Security
• Relevant Certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, CSSLP, ISSAP)
