Eurolife FFH Insurance Group is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant. 

We are looking for an experienced and results oriented senior professional to ensure the integrity of accounting information by researching accounting issues for compliance and by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Role Responsibilities

• Produce error-free monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the subsidiaries of Eurolife FFH Group.
• Prepare the management accounts internal reporting for the insurance brokerage and insurance agency business, including analysis and preparation of reports per business unit and maintenance of financial and business performance KPIs.
• Participate in the budget, forecast and financial planning of the insurance brokerage and insurance agency business, including presentations and ad hoc strategic and operational projects, as required.
• Support month-end and year-end closing process.
• Participate in financial standards setting and ensure GAAP’s are being adhered to appropriately.
• Understand, develop and document effective internal controls and procedures in the accounting process.
• Participate in the preparation of the current and deferred income tax provisions and assist in the tax planning process.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience ideally within an audit firm, insurance company or insurance intermediary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or similar. Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.
• Very good Knowledge of accounting standards, financial closing process and tax compliance.
• Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specially Excel and Word
• Strong communication skills both in Greek and English.
• Results oriented and able to deliver under pressure to short deadlines, while coping with changing priorities.
• Team Player and ability to work independently.
